Well, my first week back to work was fine. I'll have a really busy schedule next week, as I have some major reports due, along with getting the month started again.
My new office is located on a very quiet floor, as there are a few empty offices around me. A very large
Roy Lichenstein is located out in the hallway from my office. Across the hallway, through the elevator lobby, there are automatic doors that *fling* open when you press the "open" button (hee, I think this is very cool still).
I'm on a different bank of elevators than I used to be, so that's been something to get used to. I'm also on the different side of the building, so I almost always get turned around when getting off the elevators.
Carrie did a great job while I was out, so there's not a lot held over from the previous month, just the usual stuff that has to be followed up on. She was sweet and filled my little fridge with Diet Coke, all ready for me.
I think the thing I hate the most about going to work (besides not being home when Chloe gets home from school) is the commuting. I like my job, I have a good boss and nice people to work with, but the getting to the bus, waiting for the bus, getting on the bus, walking in the rain to the building, etc. gets real old. It would be nice if we could work from home sometimes.
Anyhoo - today, I'm planning on playing with some new stamps and stuff I got the other day and haven't used yet. A roast is in the crockpot (trying out a new recipe), and I got some laundry going. The Amazing Race is on tonight, too! Looking forward to that!
